Man of Steel

Selling my first piece of work has prompted to do a new picture so I thought who better than the man of steel Superman.. Don't know about you but I think the film looks good and I will definitely be going to the cinima this year to see it.. I usually get there once or twice a year, last year was James Bond Skyfall and Dark knight rises, both were good films although I felt humble watching the James Bond film for some reason, maybe because they were on every Christmas when I was growing up, even the same now lol.. James Bond has been drummed into us lol.

I am literally doing virtual somersaults, I am so excited I can hardly contain myself, although I calmed down from the initial shock this morning when I saw the email sitting there and my eyes were tired too as I'd just woken up.. So I rubbed them and forced myself to focus "was I seeing right".. Sure I was seeing right... "I WAS SEEING RIGHT".

 I had sold my first piece with FineArtAmerica and these things happen at a time when I was beginning to doubt myself.
I wanted to get more professional but wasn't quite sure if I was doing the right thing. But I left my art work on the site anyway and started building my portfolio for web design..

I drew the picture of my Doberman who passed away and simply called it "Doberman", and in the description I wrote "a dedication to the beautiful Doberman".. Today an American Art collector brought a copy on canvas!!!! I simply can not hold myself down lol

I've had a week of emotional ups and downs, my low point was when Facebook friend Angelica Sellers told everyone she was quitting Facebook but you could still buy her artwork through this webite sad indeed especially when I've had a few conversations with her through email and she was a wonderful person. Life surely does suck!

Then I took my computer, which had a few problems to be fixed and now I have a beast back. It was already a beast when I bought it and have had it for 2 years, I thought it was a graphics card that was playing up but after checks because we know this wonderful man who fixes computer and he and a few others were taking care of my computer like it was a baby lol well she came back super and I was told most of the problems coming from her were WOW related!

World of Warcraft after the expansions became a broken game and causes crashes, black screen where you have to hard boot it and then my screen was flickering.. So after the test they found nothing wrong with my computer only that it had a 250 power supply and it should've been over 300 to make every thing my computer is capable of doing shine so I got  a new power supply of 500 and more ram it was 4 before and now it's 8 and still WOW did the same thing when I got it back so now I have uninstalled it and cancelled my subscription.. If the people of wow won't acknowledge it's their fault as there are pages apon pages about it all over the net, then I won't give them a penny more! Blizz your ignorance has lost you a customer and I hope many more until you address this problem!.

In the last few days I have been doing grungy pictures and loving them, seriously I have really been enjoying myself with this so here they are I have joined new website and you can even have them on cushions hehe

Doberman

The Doberman, Karl Friedrich Louis Dobermann’s perfect creation, originally bred for protection and guard duties this beautiful animal after breeding for better temperament is now a great house pet, with a better temperament and is a great companion pet.

Here in England they are natural with uncropped ears and an undocked tail but in some countries have dock tails and cropped ears such as the USA.

I first fell in love with this breed when I was 12 , my family ran a pub and got a female doberman to guard the premises, although she let a burglar in because she was in our beds. She was a great companion and would travel with me everywhere I went much to my Mum’s relief as I’d travel from North all the way through to South London and beyond. It was because I knew people who lived that far away but they had understanding parents who also let her into their homes.

My greatest love was Soloman who was my constant companion and he died recently, this is a painting I drew using a photo of him as a reference.

A tribute to my Soloman

My tribute to my wonderful dog Soloman, I started it back in October just after he died and couldn't bring myself to finish it. But I'm happy I have done now. Miss him so much, dogs are so clever and intelligent. One of the greatest thing that happened to me was meeting him.

He was such a great dog

He came into my life on February 14th 2003, he was my Mums dog to begin with but because I had trained our doberman we had when I was in my teens he was quickly given to me in the August, I had been sharing the care of him before hand, but my home was more dog friendly and from the August I took sole responsibility for him. He threw our lives upside down at first, this bouncy doberman jumping all over the place but we loved him and my sons adored him.

He never had a care in the world and one night a burgalar broke into my house which was a 3 storey house and he was lying out side my sons room on the 3rd floor I am convinced the burgalar got in through my bedroom window, I lived in an old Edwardian house with huge windows, my bedroom was on the 2nd floor and the window was above the wall outside my front entrance. It's my belief that he climbed the wall and jumped up to the window, which was wide open because of a hot summer. Because I was in a state of between asleep and awake and what was dream like I can remember a tall athletic handsome black man walking around my bed smiling a big teethy smile at me, chills me to the bone now. But in my unconsiousness I wasn't phased, I can remember him walking out the room too.

Soon after I heard galloping down the stairs and the front door slamming, this woke me up completely and my first thought was my son had gone out at 4 in the morning and I looked out the window only to see this athletic black man running down the road. I thought it was his friend Paul so I rang Pauls number to have a go at him. Of course no answer, he was asleep at home in bed.

I walked out of my bedroom and down one flight to half way between downstairs and my bedroom. There was Solly standing on the landing with his head tilted to one side. Then it started to dawn on me it was Solly who had galloped down the stairs and scared someone off possibly a burgalar. So at this point all of us were awake and we went down into the sitting room and discovered it had been a burgular, as the ps2 had been taken and some games and videos plus keys out of a coat
The police were called but never found any finger prints. My unconscious experience wasn't remembered until a few days later because of the fact it was dream like. It took years for the full picture to be remembered though, and now I have pieced it together, I am convinced that is what happened. In my head it was like a normal day with this person there like I knew him, for all I know I might have smiled back.

But from that day he became a more serious protective dog who was more alert and took his roll as a guard dog seriously. He would now growl if someone got to close to the house. He always lie on the landing between my bedroom and the sitting room after that.

I started this soon after he died, but couldn't bring myself to finish it, but after I finished the cougar cub I fell in love with the mixer brush on Photoshop and I opened it up and I'm happy I did~Jill

Back and I hope you had a good new year

I'm finally back from a whirl wind month it was in December what with weddings and then Christmas but not much of a break spent most of it on my own as most of my family were away or working all the hours god sent.. So I'd be alone from 10 in the morning until 8 at night and this was most of the Christmas season only Christmas day I can say I had company.. Boxing day I was visited for about 2 hours and then I was on my own to my own devices so not good!..

I pined for my dog Soloman and my Kitten had to go back to her Mum for a while as my 19 year old cat wanted her for breakfast............. so.......... miss her now too!

 Don't be mislead by her cuteness this cat eats kittens lol, well not really but she's mean.

Well that was my Crimbo I trust you had a better one than me, on the plus side I did get a Google nexus which is really sort after and not enough of them to buy and when they do come in they are out the same morning, to be precise 3 hours later.. So I kept myself busy, but having something everyone wants has it's down side like my son kept picking it so things that I own kind of become a shared item, mind you I am keeping it more to myself now.

Been busy digitally drawing over the last few days though so this keeps my mind occupied and sketched a mountain lion cub and scanned it into my computer and went from there really, I used the paint brush tool and the mixer brush tool on Photoshop and for the last 3 nights have been working on it, don't know if anyone feels the same but I am never happy with what I do.. I've uploaded the larger size to my Deviantart account and FineArt America one of many reasons I upload to there is because maybe I might buy an actual copy I do intend too and FineArt America is the best one I think for framing a picture. Deviantart is ok but I find it cuts some of the picture out. Anyway I decided to upload a smaller copy of the picture here.

Now I must get to bed I keep having ultra late nights lately so I am going to get some much needed sleep goodnight :)

Busy weeks, con men and new art

Hi, it's been a busy few weeks for me,

Form modelling agency con

it all started when I was on an errand to take my son to London for a modelling shoot, which we thought at the time was a legitimate modelling agency sending us to a photographers for a shoot and they were really good photographs. They got you to really want to see the photos with a pitch like, you can only see them if your son is accepted so we spent a few hours waiting for this to all be completed to finally be called in the office of the man who ran it telling us how happy he was that my son was successful!.

Onto the photos, they were dynamite, I was completely bowled over and they were truthfully amazing, then we got the price £1050, so the £50 my son had payed towards attending was going straight onto the photos. I agreed to this extortionate price and when I got home I done my home work which I should have done before but nether the less I done it that night because my family were ringing alarm bells and true enough they were right

 It turned out that Form modelling agency and neptune studios were one and the same, in fact the photographers owned the modelling agency and weren't a modelling agency at all. They are also breaking the data protection act, refer to the link I have added. True enough they are a decent enough photographers, but for that price I think I'll save my money and go to photographers with no hidden agenda. besides modelling agencys don't ask for a portfolio and they take the money off the jobs they get you when you do get a portfolio done.. So if you find yourself in the same predicament as I was, do what I did, cancel your card.. they only took the big number across the front and didn't take the account number and sort code.. will let you know what comes of it. But I can think of a million things I need that is more important which I haven't got because I don't have a spare £1000 lying around.

Also over the last few weeks I've been working on a new picture which is unlike me to spend so many weeks on one picture but I wanted to do something I've never done before.. It's digital and I've also been drawing side pictures just to add to it so I am beginning a new collection of them.

Well thats about it from me, have a nice week, we're getting a new refridgerator tomorrow as my other one broke down on Saturday leaving us hot and dry because all our cold drinks were thawed out.. and I spent £80 on food which all went to waste.... Note... when recieving a delivery of a refridgerator ask delivery man to take it out of packaging so you can check the seal around the door to make sure it hasn't been ruined, because insurance won't give you a damn thing if some thing happened to it in transit... we had to live with this croaky fridge for a few years and it was like going into alaska just to get food out because it was super ice up because of the seal on the door I was defrosting it ever other week... Fingers crossed my next fridge will work perfectly.. Bye

Something that brightened my week.. A neighbours cheeky cat taking his chances with 2 magpies, I have to say the magpies won lol.

I was born and raised in London England and moved out several years later and as a result I get nostalgic at time and I remember the route master, one of the best things about it was that when we were quite young we would run and jump onto it as it was moving, yep we were naughty children, (Health and safety wouldn't approve)

Based on Little Red Riding hood This picture is of a girl who is little red riding hood with 2 wolves following her but is she afraid or is she leading them to their doom? I guess that depends on your imagination. Possibly the wolves are with her and hiding behind her as they look to her for sanctuary in a dangerous world.
